Laura Cao

Laura joined DVL in 2021 as an intern, and transitioned to a full-time role in 2022. Prior to joining DVL, she worked on using machine learning to determine cancer status from digital pathology images, and on analyzing live cell videos using computer vision to better understand how metastasis occurs in realistic environments. Additionally, she has experience in using Bayesian modeling to investigate how human decision making changes with age. She has a B.S. in Computational Neuroscience and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Machine Learning and Data Science from the University of Southern California.
